The annual Siberia Agricultural Forum took place in Krasnoyarsk on 13 - 15 November. Ugra representatives- small and medium enterprises, participated in the largest agricultural project beyond the Ural region. Ugra entrepreneurs attending the Agribusiness Forum shared his impressions of the event.

Mikhail Kozlov , sole proprietor of peasant farm enterprise Kozlov M.P. from town of Lugovskoi of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug:

I really liked the organization of the Forum. Everything was in one place and exhibition of products and technology exhibition and round tables. Any equipment or vehicles was accessible and got competent answers for all questions I asked. Each exhibit had the presentation, price lists, specifications, etc. Primarily my interest was in fodder equipment and such equipment I found at the exhibition. Forum gave me the understanding of what equipment I shall get myself".

Sergey Antonov, sole proprietor of peasant farm enterprise Antonov S.V. from town of Seliyarovo of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug:

"I went to Krasnoyarsk to agricultural forum in order to take a look at milk processing equipment. And for the first time here at the exhibition I saw the new technologies in this sector. Past season our PFE had problems with hay and I have had talks with producers of haymaking machinery at the Forum. Now we discuss options for further cooperation. I was greatly impressed by cow milking automated installation. Such a device allows milk cow with very high productivity in compliance to the highest requirements for such process with minimal human input. I grateful to the Ugra Export Support Center for the opportunity to visit the Forum".

Elena Maslakova, “Peasant farm enterprise “OMK”, LLC, City of Khanty-Mansiysk:

«I went to the agricultural forum in order to purchase equipment for meat processing. While examining the exhibition, I found exactly the equipment that was looking for and I plan to buy it soon. I liked the scale of forum: a lot of real manufacturers of products, equipment and machinery, a lot of innovations in the field of agribusiness. Excellent organization, everything was in place and on time. Professional contest “Dumpling Day” was the highlight of the forum to me. Young chefs competed in the gaming fun setting among themselves for the right to be recognized as the best in dumpling cooking. After visiting the forum, I decided to expand my product range. Such a trip like this allows us to look at own businesses from a side and push us to change something and improve. I am pleased with the results of the forum".

Elena Koleschatova, sole proprietor of peasant farm enterprise Koleschatov V.D. from town of Pyt-Yakh of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug:

"My purpose of visiting Krasnoyarsk forum was an exchange of experience in the sector of poultry and dairy - meat production. In addition, I was interested in equipment for these purposes. At the show, I found the Italian equipment for milk processing. That was exactly what I needed, so we'll buy it. In addition, I reached an agreement with the manufacturer of small feed mills for the purchase of such a mill. There is a real problem with animal feeds in our Okrug. Farmers are forced to buy animal feeds from other regions. Therefore, the purchase of such equipment will partially solve this problem. What I loved about the exhibition, that there were samples of agricultural machinery and equipment, designed specifically for small farms, but with the potential to increase production in the future. Fairly low prices surprised me as well. At one of the round tables that we visited, I noticed that the farmers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory faced exactly the same problems as ours. And it’s despite the fact that the Krasnoyarsk region can rightly be considered an agrarian region. It is very helpful for us farmers to attend these forums, as they open up new horizons for further development. Many thanks to the Okrug authorities and Support Center for Ugra export, who made this trip possible."
